Niniva Taito
My mission is to empower athletes to discover their potential by fostering resilience, building self-belief, and honoring their unique cultural identities—helping them thrive both in competition and in life.

About Me
I am a dedicated coach and advocate for mental performance in sports. With over 20 years of experience as a competitive athlete and women’s basketball coach, I have had the privilege of competing at the collegiate level on a full athletic scholarship and continuing my career playing professionally overseas. These experiences taught me the value of resilience, adaptability, and self-belief — qualities I now work to instill in the athletes I coach.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology specialized in Exercise Science and a Master's of Science graduate in Sport and Performance Psychology. I am committed to creating spaces where athletes feel seen, supported, and empowered.
As a first-generation Samoan, I bring cultural values of humility, respect, and community into everything I do. I understand the unique barriers that underrepresented athletes face and aim to help them navigate those challenges while building resilience and confidence.
Combining personal experience, professional training, and cultural understanding, I am passionate about helping athletes strengthen their mindset, embrace challenges, and develop skills that will serve them both in sport and throughout their lives.
